Lenovo launches Super Slim IdeaPad netbook- Do Netbooks need to be even Slimmer now?

The IdeaPad S10-3s is Lenovo’s latest netbook – it has a thin 16mm profile, weighs 1.1kgs, and is basically a slimmed-down version of the IdeaPad S10-3. Its specifications include a 10.1-inch screen with a 1280x720 resolution, a choice of Intel Atom N450/N470 processor, 2GB RAM, a choice of 160/250/320GB HDDs, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1.3MP camera, and Intel GMA 3100 integrated graphics. It features Windows 7 Starter OS. Prices start at $379.

Asus launches new netbook - Asus Eee PC 1001PX

Asus has released a new netbook in Europe called the Asus Eee PC 1001PX, a sleek looking thing that is made up of the super-strong and super-light material, carbon-fibre. Featuring a 10.1” screen, the Eee PC 1001PX weighs in at just 1.21 kgs.

Lenovo Skylight the first ARM based Netbook, At Rs. $499 it seems high price, and very slim

Lenovo has announced the first ARM-based smartbook device. The compact 10" ARM based device is to be available spring of this year.

The device runs a customized Linux version which seems to be internet centric, and comes with many different social widgets for internet applications preinstalled. The device will work with AT&T's data plans and WiFi service to provide internet connectivity.
